SANBONA, DWYKA TENTED LODGE

Sanbona offers five-star accommodation at three luxurious lodges. The beautifully restored Tilney Manor, the luxurious & secluded Dwyka Tented Lodge and Gondwana Lodge, which is an ideal lodge for families with children of all ages. Our favourite, Dwyka, is situated in a horseshoe bend of a dry Karoo ravine and is surrounded by awe-inspiring rock formations. These luxurious and secluded tents exude an atmosphere of pioneering adventure in this vast landscape.
The 9 individual suites have been sensitively built using local stone and have large wooden decks allowing for breath taking views of the cliffs above. The complete solitude and seclusion here means that guests have the use of their own plunge pool and outdoor shower. During your stay you can indulge yourself at the lodge’s Relaxation Retreats spa which delivers a range of world-class treatments and holistic modalities to balance and energise your being.
Sabona is one of the largest private game reserves in South Africa and is home to an enormous variety of plant species, big game, animals and birds. A game drive through this beautiful landscape is always rewarding and sundowner evening drives offer spectacular displays of light as the evening sun sets over the Little Karoo. Another huge benefit to this reserve is that it is an easy drive from Cape Town so can be combined with a shorter trip to South Africa just taking in the Cape Peninsular.
