Timamoon is a gorgeous hideaway set high up in the hills and surrounded by forests and close to the Kruger Park & Blyderiver Canyon. Each of the luxurious Moroccan and Zanzibar styled lodges are romantic and private, with mosquito net draped four-poster beds, large fireplaces and baths to float away in. From your private pool, there are great views of the distant mountains and the valley where the Sabie River flows and Long-crested eagles ride the afternoon thermals. We recommend at least two nights here in this area of spectacular scenery before starting your safari in nearby Kruger National Park. A day can be spent visiting the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and Pilgrim’s Rest and surrounding scenery. This is also a great area for hot air balloon rides, horse riding and white water rafting or just take a walk down to the Sabie River with a picnic basket, specially prepared for you by the Chef and sit in the shade along the bank and enjoy being in a true African wilderness.

There are some wonderful places to stay in this area, which is often missed by visitors eager to get to their safari in Kruger.
