DENIZ FENERI LIGHTHOUSE
With fresh attractive architecture, a drop-dead gorgeous waterfront location and outstanding cuisine, you’ll find the Deniz Feneri Lighthouse as close to nirvana as it comes.
Painstakingly built over five years it opened in May 2007 to wide acclaim and has definitely been worth the wait. This 28-bedroom waterfront hotel is set on the beautiful Kas Peninsular, surrounded by shimmering seas and sweeping coastal views. It has an intricate design of natural stone buildings with paths leading from the reception area through a series of pretty terraces, past several pools, garden terraces and impressive palm trees to the waterfront below.
This extensive private waterfront is the focal point of the hotel with idyllic terraces carved into the rocks allowing you to while away the hours with a good book. At intervals there are steps leading down into the sea for a cooling dip where perhaps you will be lucky enough to swim with the loggerhead turtles which are frequently spotted here. Drinks and snacks are provided from the waterfront bar, and several times a week guests are invited to take dinner at the waterfront itself. The rock terraces transform into an intimate candlelit setting for an incredibly romantic evening set against a backdrop of stars.
For those who prefer freshwater swimming, the hotel pool is always surrounded by wooden loungers and parasols and an endless supply of fluffy towels. A few metres away is the Terrace Restaurant which has both al fresco and indoor dining areas and the quality of the cuisine at Deniz Feneri is exceptional, with many classic Turkish dishes inspired by Ozan, who was formerly a restaurateur in Kalkan. The Sunset Café bar located next to the restaurant is the perfect place to watch the sun as it slowly sinks into the Mediterranean.
This is one of the finest sea-front properties in coastal Turkey, providing the opportunity to discover the authentic Turkish feel of Kas from the stylish oasis of calm that is Deniz Feneri Lighthouse.
